Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Brazil problem Warning: you're dealing with somewhat a noob here... I have Max 7 and Brazil 1.2.21, and whenever I assign brazil as the renderer, all the sample slots in the material editor go black with "not supported" written. So... you guyz have any ideea why is that and how can I get around it? Brazil seems to be working and oh yea... I can't find the brazil shader (seen it in the manual but can't find it). Thanks. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | go back to your renderer settings and click on the lock between the renderer and material editor renderer. now set your renderer to brazil and leave the material editor renderer as default scanline. that should fix your problem. |

Except when I set it to Brazil as the renderer I get Brazil r/s license error - Render Halted. And it wont render. Any help would be so damn greatfully appreciated. Ive searched everywhere, this is my last hope. Thanks again in advance |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Vray is good for exterior and interior images. Brazil is good for cars. But all people are different and each find render the best for him. For my cars I use vray. |

| CG Artist ![]() | Yeah, you're right but what I found while working is that V-ray has more and more options than Brazil! I also use Brazil for cars and small objects and V-ray is quite good for Interiors! Can someone tell me a good V-ray Tutorial related to Global Illumination, please! ![]() |

| productions | how does the mental ray renderer within max compare to vray and brazil. Are the things that brazil and vray do impossible to do with mental ray, or are they possible but much harder to accomplish? and What are the limitations on the trial version of Vray. Thanks in advance :D |

| i dont know brazil renderer but i can compare mental and vray. Vray iss much better :p Vray renders MUCH faster, Materials are much easier to create in vray and the Render menus are better ans easier to set up than mental ray. Setting up HDRI for scenes dont uses the environment slot so its free for other. this iss my experience and i kneel before my computer when vray starts rendering greetz Dave |
