Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Bumpmapping is just a shader technique to fool your eyes. it is a flat surface, but by a greyscale bitmap for height it calculates the light reflection. not really an distorted surface. But you can use from the modifiers dropdown list, displace. you apply a map and the surface gets distorted. only problem, for a got result it has to be a hi poly surface.... hope this will help you a bit further!
