Advantages of Brazil?

What is the difference between brazil and the standard 3ds max renderer? Why would you want to change? If brazil has some really good features, why dosn't discreet implement some of them. Thanks.

Discreet tried to implement, so max 6 got mental ray. Brazil can make very high quality pictures, but it's slow...
It renders nearly 10 or more times slower than the standard scanline, but it can simulate caustics, gi, skylight, SSS and many more.
