Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi, Im learning how to use 3ds Max 6 and I have come across a small problem, the literature I'm learning from tells me to render a 2d spline into 3d by going to the command panel -> rendering -> choose viewport and so on but I can't select viewport its always on renderer. Is there another way around this problem? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Yes. You can render a spline (make it renderable) by going into the parameters of the object (the "modify" tab) and clicking on the "renderable" check-box in the "rendering" rollout. Hope that helps you! Later. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | hi thanks for your reply. If figured the problem out, I wanted to see it in the viewport but i couldnt select viewport over renderer. What i did was tick 'use viewport setting' and this allowed me to select viewport. Never a dull moment with 3ds max. |
