Where do i go for help?

Hi there,

Basically my background is that i am very new to CG, but having briefly covered it at university, i am fairly confident this is a career i would like to pursue rather than my current role as an Architectural Technician.

With my company visualiser having just left, i have been asked to fill the role, even though i am still very much a beginner.

To cut a long story short, this means i am going to have to learn an awefull lot in a short space of time.

Most of this i will do through learning from the many books i have purchased as well as just persevering with model after model.

Basically what i am looking for is people with experience telling me the best places to visit for when you have that persistant problem you just cant shake, or you need some criticism to better your models.

I have registered on here and one other forum, but within a day my threads are falling off the page, and have yet to get a reply. I know people are busy and as such, i dont expect answers or help but will gladly take it when offered, but basically the question is, is this the right place to posting such questions, or can you advise me where i should post to get what im after?

I'm just after utilising everything i can to become better in the CG field, and in the past with other projects, i have found forums to be a great source of knowledge and help.

For example the problem i have at the minute is lighting an internal scene. I am following what the books tell me and the tutorials, but i just seem to missing something vital. Someone experienced could probably spot issues in a second whereas, being new, i am beggining to struggle.

I must say though, i'm not after an easy fix or someone to do work for me, i'm merely after criticism and advice when people have the spare time to do so.

Thanks for your time & i hope what i've written is clear enough.
