Print T-Shirts with sum awesome artworks on them....n below sumwhr a captio sayin "www.3dm3.com"

ovcourse fr this v'll hv to keep a seperate section on our site for common ppl, nt relatd to CGworld, to download some work made by 3DM3 members as wallpapers as well as more t-shirts :P ... dat'll attract a larger crowd to tis site, n also, more ppl will b encouraged into CG world :D

sounds like a good ideal shashanks18. if my modeling was better i would be willing to donate some works for this cause. there is already a large amount of guests everyday. the question is what do they want from this site.

exactly, most ov 'em search fr gr8 artworks fr cell fone or computer wallpapers...

...hey mayb, if tis thing takes off, v few ppl cn start a small prgrm, whr sum1 will model, sum1 will do the textures, n such......Backgrounds too qualify fr gr8 wallpapers, so v cn evn help in lighting.....teamwork will gv gr8 wallpapers, n also lessen the burden ov the ppl who hv loads ov othr work to do....jus dat v'll hv to hv a strong online communication, sendin n recievin files n such.....

Printing T-shirts is a good idea, but the actual 'problem' is, will the people buy the T-shirts? Or, what is making them buying the T-shirts? Cheap? Nice?

shashanks18's 2nd idea is also not bad (when it sounds), but how many people will actually involve in running the 'program'? In my opinion, there will be less than 10 will do that voluntary because only active forum members will actually be doing that. Yes, there might have some other members that wish to participate because they want to get some experience or learn from others. However, how do you ensure that they will finish their work together? I've seen many people just give up before a work is finished because they have lost interest or have no time.

Another thing to be considered is, what kind of visitor is this site going to expect? 1-time article / tutorial readers? 'loyal' readers? or just visitors that come here just to have a look and leave?

Thanks.

Yes, I know those are just 'raw' ideas, but I would like to point out the possible problems that might appear before we are going to start the 'program' (so that we have more time to think for a solution or give out better ideas). I'm more like a pessimist. That's me...

Thanks.

In order to attract visitors (this is meant for 1-time readers), this site has to have more new tutorials / articles. However, the tutorials / articles must also have good quality (remember, quality is better than quantity).

Other than that, we can also have big competitions (with 'attractive' prizes) because once we have that, some other people in some other websites might 'promote' this site in other forums. Some 'CG News portal' might post this 'news' in their website as well, so there will be quite a lot of new traffic to this website.

With these new visitors, the next step that this website has to do is to provide something for the visitors and let them return in the future. Maybe some free models or services (these can be decided now, but first of all, 1 or both things mentioned above should be done before doing this).

Thanks.

Note : Just for your information, my new website is near done and should be opened within a month. It is related to CG, but definitely not a 3dm3-clone ;)

yeah like have some one sponser the competition, like autodesk, pixologic, vue, cg acadamy, gnomon, ect..... so there can be big prizes.

i dont know how hard that would be to set up though. just a suggestion
