Question What should i choose...

Hi all,
I am new here, and this is my first post. I m from India (Mumbai)
I m working as a jewellery designer. My work is to made Jewellery 3D models according to parameters and dimensions. i m working in this industry form last 6 Yrs. and now i want to switch to Animation field. I want to make me career in 3D Animation field.
Guys i need ur help to take decision about choosing the 3D software. I want to know which software have good scope. and which softwares i need to learn to be a professional 3D animator.
I can do ( polygon ) modeling in 3Ds Max and Maya but i dont know much about rendering and animation. i tried rendering some models, result was not bad but not that much good too.
and the Guys from Mumbai, i request you to guide me.
i m attaching some of my renderings.. plz take a look...
The space scene i made using 3ds Max 6 and i made Ocula using Maya 6

Choosing the 3D Apps is actually it's depend on your skill or taste, you know what i mean.
as you do know..maya is a bit expensive than 3dsmax.

but many people said that maya is lot better for animation than MAX.
if you really will go on full animation and money is not a problem, maybe you can go with maya.

and remember, that maya has complete and complicated tools for you to know.

I would advise you to go with 3d max. Maya is also good maybe in some points better than max but I don't know maya so what I do know I can suggest. Have fun discovering (or learning) what ever program you chose :)
