| Hallowed Devil | hey Travis, frankly if ye're unwrapping it, it'll take loads ov patience n difficulties, as tis is a very complex model to unwrap...... wat ye cn do is.....goto Polygon mode, scroll dwn to Polygon Properties n giv each group ov polygons a different Material ID. nw giv tis model a single material in the material editor. n in place ov "Standard" material, gv "Multi/Sub Object", choose "discard old material" n den set the number ov materials to the no. ov Material ID's ye hv given to the model.....n dats it, gv each material a different texture, n in the end, jus gv a "UVW mapping" modifier to properly map the textures on the model..... do post the final output :D

| Member | Of course, if you can unwrap it, I would recommend you to do that. With an unwrapped model, you have a lot more 'possibilities' that can be made on your axe, such as 'painting' blood on it or scratches on it at desired places (that's only when you want to make it look like a used axe instead of a new one). Thanks and good luck texturing it :) |

| Hallowed Devil | well, fr blood stains, ye cn put a "Splat" material, n in 1 color, add the basic texture ov axe blade, n in the other color, give Red color, n no map...i've made a basic axe lying in a blood stained mud-pool dat way...fr scratches n all....yea, v do hv limitations :P

| 3dm3 moderator ![]() | Hi Travis! do you can't create mapping (UVmapping)? It's so easy. Use soft UVLayout, i recomend!!! If you want i can create mapping today if you send me model (obj or fbx). It's very easy.
