Total newbie

I am thinking to start dealing with computer graphics but i am a total newbie.I just wanted to ask if its worth it.I mean how much time will it take to learn the basics and to start making my own creations???Which are the hardware requirements for creating computer graphics??? Thanks in advance.

Well, everybody start as a newbie in everything..!! So if want to just do it..

Have a good computer and cg software, download some trial of 3ds max or Maya then you can decide wich software is for you, there are many other softwares but i haven´t tried any other, and i´m a newbie.. :D

if you like cg...then try it. as said before, download some trial versions of Maya or max (the 2 leading softwares) but also zbrush and other 3d programs.

to be a good modeller it will take a lott of you time. inn the beginning it will be kinda hard, and you will haf to use some of your time studing and learning the basic after that you can beginn making you creations, it will maybe not look that awsome inn the beginning but more time you spend on modelling better it will be.

I feel your pain. I just started as well, my advice find the biggest fattest book published for either Maya, 3DMax or Zbrush and get reading. That’s what I’ve done at least. By the by if you need someone to bounce ideas off of. We newbies should stick together.
