reset render

Hey guys,

Is there any way to reset my render properties to default?
Cause I kinda messed up my render props.
And also is there any tut or can someone explain me how to use the spotlights (cause the settings are quite expanded)
For the persons who have vista it will be better to understand what kind of spot i would like to make. When you go look for the pics in your "sample pictures" folder, you'll see the pic "dock". I would like to have the same effects like those spots.
