Plz help me with grafics card

Bro's i intend to buy a new graphics card in upcoming few weeks but i can't decide which to buy.Right now im thinking of ATI Radeon HD 5770 or 5850. but my friend telling me there are driver issues with 3d apps. is this the truth or just rumor. is anyone from here using ATI 5XXX card in there rig for work(modeling , lighting, texturing, rigging,animation, vfx etc) plz help me mate.

ati is giving better performance/buck compare to nvidia & besides nvidia's dx11 cards(fermi) is nothing but the white elephant if u look at it from power perspective & costly,hot too.thats why im thinking about ati 5770 or 5850. the main reason behind the creation of this thread is i don't know that whether ati drivers have any issue with apps(related to the animation & vfx) or not.
plz reply any 5XXX user.
