Wink Newbie start up and guidelines

I have just recently decided to start dealing with computer graphics, and to say the truth i believe it's going to be hell of a fun for me...i have decided to start my first steps with 3DS Max,i would really appreciate it if you could give me some guidelines, on what to read and what to do first, in order to build good foundations. Also,i would like you to recommend me,if you want, some training DVDs to help me learn the basics.Thanks...

Hi! what version of Max are you using? If you are using the latest version; v.9, you should go to autodesk.com and download the tutorials and 'how to get started' files. They should be somewhere in there. And I believe there should be some files for older versions of Max too.

Aside from that, it's always just a good idea to view different tutorials around the web. - www.tutorialized.com has alot of helpfull tutorials and guides for both 3ds max and several other programs. Good luck! :)
