| Member | Hello and welcome to 3dm3.com. First, you must choose which 3d modelling software you want (Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema4D, Softimage XSI, Lightwave, Blender3D etc.). Personally, I am using 3DS Max. After that, you can go to tutorial directories and start reading tutorials about modelling. After you felt that you have mastered modelling, you can start reading tutorials about texturing, then rendering etc. Here is a list of sites that has many tutorials about 3D mdelling : Photoshop Tutorials and Flash Tutorials Good-Tutorials / Photoshop Tutorials + Flash Tutorials CGTutorials.com - The Pillar of Computer Graphics Oman3D.com Thanks :) |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Start with easy to use software When you're starting out, you should use easy to use software. Most 3D software packages have steep learning curves. I recommend Hash Animation Master. This is an all round package, particularly well suited for character animation. It's a bargain. That's another important thing: don't spend lots of money on software if you're not absolutely sure you will be able to make money with it. Blender is a terrific piece of software, capable of almost anything, and it's free! Search for video tutorials on the net. You can also buy DVD's. For newbies this is an ideal way of quickly getting the hang of things. Just watch and learn. Get comfortable with inexpensive user friendly software. Then, if you need more power, look into XSI, Maya, Cinema4D etc. |
