Get yourself a good anti spyware program, such as Lavasoft (it's free) and do a deep scan. If it still doesn't remove the 'santa', format your PC.

Thanks.

Here is what you will do before you format your PC...

1) Find some good spyware software and do full (better do deep scan)
2) If that doesn't work install Kasperky (or any other virus scanner) and do deep scan.
3) If that doesn't work (but I think it will) start your computer in safe mode and do the 1) and 2)...
4) (This one is the hardest) If none of above works detach your hard drive and go to your neighbors and deep scan it there (both 1 and 2) :P
5) And at the end if nothing above works format C: (but make a backup before you do that)

*Before you do ANY of these steps do backup your files, don't lose you data.

PS: I have computer since 2004 and I have done more than 10 formats :/ don't do like me. Follow these steps and your computer will be fine. Unfortunately I had no one to show me that so I had to learn by my self.

Cheers

Well, I would not agree to take out the hard drive and 'scan' at neighbour's computer for these few reasons :
1) You don't know what interface your neighbour is using, SATA or PATA?
2) Your neighbour's PC might get infected with the virus as well, or his PC has 'worm' and will do more damage on your HDD (infect your HDD)
3) You might accidentally damage it on the process of taking it out and 'transporting' it (just small electrostatic charge on the PCB board can make your HDD 'die')
4) If you have the knowledge of taking it out and installing it, you should have no big problem formatting it, so why not use the easier way that you can do it yourself?

Of course, you should scan your PC with any spyware / virus scanner. Hijackthis and Lavasoft are good freeware scanner. Besides, you may try other anti-virus / anti-spyware programs, but the time that you use to scan your PC with various programs might be longer than a full format (after formatting, your PC will be faster as well)

Thanks.

Get Revo Uninstaller and get rid of any app that you are not using and its registries entries. Also, have you installed 7585312 infinite fonts in your system lately?
