Hey guys,

I am new and am really glad to join some great competitions, but there is one thing I hate ... There has been some great wips posted, some a few weeks ago and some a few months, and these great wips,posts, have never been quoted or replied too.
This site needs a total makeover and some fresh members.
I want to help if you like but if this isnt going to change then I'll be afraid to put my wips online.

I dont really get what you dont understand... There are wips, finished works, and so on... that never got their attention. Just check the "finished works" and the "wips gallery". and count the post that have 0 replies.

What I don't understand is, what is your 'aim' of this thread? I know you said that the threads doesn't get much attention (I am thinking like this too, even now) but what do you want/what can you do to change this situation? Everyone knows that the site needs new members/loyal members, but how can you do that?

well, good question :p even i dont really know. I think the competition is the most important aspect of this forum. Maybe upgrading it, publishing more ads. And for the gallery setting some of the great works on the homepage. I know prizes is a difficult thing for some admins, but try to start with something little.

I'll think about for some more features but I'm working for the moment. :p

For a site in this size, its easy to get 'free' prizes (sponsored by 'big companies'). But the problem is, people just come to join the competition (their aim is just to win prizes) and after they got it, they just never come back again until a new competition has been held. The only way is to get 'loyal members' and those that will come back and post in the forum to get it 'active'. But how do you get these 'loyal members'? Nobody knows how to get this kind of member, they just 'come by themselves'.

you got a point there. Maybe you can set a competition for just members who have signed since a certain date, or who have a certain amount of posts.

It's not good solution, cause 3DM3 open forum and if we make some competition closed it will be step back for our board. And in small competition people make their works to improve their skills in 3D and for fun:)
Killay, thanks for your comments and propositions. All your opinios are welcome, but not all of them (many competition with prizes for example) we (3DM3 developers team) can realize now.
