I'm brand new here.
I don't know where to begin making my images.

Can you use GIMP to create the images?

If you have any other useful info, plz let me know!

First you need to give us some more info.
What kind of image, what software you want to use and such.

Im also new to 3DM but i have used photoshop for many years, although there are newer versions that have more filters etc.. i find photoshop 7 easyer to use and still get the same final product..its all down to you but i find that all opensource softwere is'nt the best..each to there own :D
