Cool How long it took you to learn?

Hello Everyone!
Iam very new to 3d Max and i'll be joining classes soon. Tell about yourself?
How long it took you to become a good 3d designer?

It took me just a few months (if I minus all the 'idle' time, maybe just 2 or 3 months) and my result is at my WIP-Transport 1963 VW Beetle (modelling). I don't know whats your level of 'good designer', so I'd prefer to show you my work. Texturing and rendering....still not here since I'm a new user in this forum, previously I was at another forum. If you want to be a 'good designer' in a short time, do more practises and take other people's advice, it really helps a lot.

The thing is your talent. If you know what you want to model and create, it does not take long time to make good things. Then you just get better and better.

if your self learning it will take you around 1 moth to gett basic understanding 4 month to gett good understandin 1 year and you will have prittey good control of the program and your art will be on aroun moderat. with clasess i dont know, i think it might half the time since you will have a teacher explaning things for you ;)

But after 6 months you can feel that ur becoming more familier with max day by day

but i dont know how im good in max

yeh I had been teaching myself for a year (2006) then this year I got a job that required me to have 3d skills so I took classes, took 2 months and I knew more than I did in my year of teaching myself, and now after 5months I am fairly confident with MAX, we just moved onto Physics in MAX which is fairly interesting.
