| Registered User | thats what everone goes straight for...modeling a car. Well its not to hard to model a car, but if you want it to look real it can take quite some time and practice. I would start with something easier and figure out some modeling techniques, then get into cars. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Just learn spline modeling for good shape & brazil render for realistic renders... It took about several months for me to achieve quite good results in modeling, and rendering requies LOT's of experimentations... Good luck.. |

| My WonderWall | know ur tools first... Hi, welcome to 3ds Max. From my point of view as a beginner, for a start if u gonna model a car, first u have to learn the modelling techniques first and its tool (this is very important) . It's good to go through the 3ds Max Tutorials and the user refrences as u can get a rough ideas of modelling and using those tools. Spline modelling is good for a start then after that u can go to Poly- modelling (Poly edit). Most of the tutorials i've been through on the internet are more towards the techniques on how to model something (e.g like a car or a charachter)..... and sadly its not about how to use the specific 3ds Max tools to model something. This kinda pain in the b#*!#. I think it's better to have tuts on how to use the tools, because once u know those tools, heck.. u can model anything u want easily man!! I bumped into this website........ very useful http://sv1.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/unr_main.php check it out on the FREE 3ds MAX video tutorials section. This tuts are good for beginner. I learn a lot from here. But first read the instruction very *carefully*. Download... a) WINrar 3.0 or higher (decompresser) b) Divx (codec) happy learning... |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | the first thing u should read the help section carefully then practice as much as u can, download car models for practice. The most important thing is ur passion for 3ds. Do u agree?
