dear friend
you are in right way. because 3d max is the most suitable for beginners by it's interfasec. the tutorials from the help of max is most simple and usful tutorials about the 3d animation, mdelling and rendering
3dm3 is very useful to you. please utelize the tutorials from.

Mohamedharsha is right. I have been working with 3Ds max for over 10 years now, and I tried others but they aren't as easy as max is ;)
