Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hey guys. Noob here =) Hey all, I'm 28 and from the UK. I've had a long time interest in 3D Animation, and now I finally have the time in my life to actually learn. I just brought (about ten minutes ago) 3Ds Max 10, ZBrush 3.5 and Photoshop CS4, so I'm extremly enthusiastic and keen to learn. I'm sure I'll be asking a bunch of questions as I'm totally new. I've been looking around on Google for some online courses for 3Ds Max, and come across some sites that look great, but of course because I'm new I'm not sure which one to pick, so if anyone has any suggestions that would be great. I am in total awe at some of the work I have seen posted on 3dn3, and that is a huge inspiration for me. I hope one day I'll be equally as good as some of the talent here. Ven |

| Hallowed Devil | Hey Venomous! Firstly, welcome to the 3D world! :) I suggest , that as you're totally new to the softwares and stuff, go through the tutorials which focus on the basics. You'll find some good tutorials here on 3DM3 as well, no doubt. But also go through as many basic tutorials as you can, on other websites. You can also try this forum post here, in which many links to 3Ds Max tutorials were posted. It can prove useful Links to 3ds max tutorials Start practicing from the basics, and then progress in a maintained fashion. And as for the queries, we're all ready to help each other here, buddy! :D Cheers, Shashank

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks for the welcome guys =) Shashank, thank you for your ideas. I agree with you that I need to learn the basics before anything else. I've seen sooooo many basic tutorials and it can become overwhelming because everyone has their own style. I think that's why a good structured course would suit me because it will (or hoping it would be) consitant all the way through. shadowhound, I agree about the "taking your time part". I don't think anything can be rushed. Espcially if I plan on becoming a good 3D artist like some of you guys here. I'll be sure to check out the tutorials here. Ven |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | i reckon if you have the money to buy max 10, photoshop and zbrush, you would have enough to buy some killer tutorials from The Gnomon Workshop - Tutorials for visual effects artists, concept designers, sculptors and comic book illustrators and traditional artists using Maya, ZBrush, 3ds Max, Photoshop and Painter as well as traditional drawing and painting. cheers!
