Ever wanted to bring your creations to life? (Game Development)

Ever wanted to bring your creations to life? So have I, but I lack the time and inspiration to create truly eye catching graphics for my work. I'm an amateur game programmer in my spare time. I dont work for anyone, game development for me is a hobby more than anything, though I am planning to go professional eventually if the prospect becomes attractive enough. I actually have around 9 years programming experience in various different languages including (But not limited to) C/C++, Visual Basic, PHP, ASP.NET, C#, Director -> Lingo, Flash -> ActionScript, MAXScript, Java, Lua, Python - you name it, I've played with it! My particular area of expertise is graphics and vis, though I also know about physics, networking and AI.

So why am I here? Yup, you guessed it already. I'm looking for someone to work with. I will enable you to really bring your work to life, to make it interactive, and to share your worlds and vision with other people who will really appreciate it.

You should be creative, you should have a really good working knowledge of 3dsmax, and you should have a good connection with your 3dsmax online communities. You must be self motivated, and of course have a healthy interest in gaming in general.

You can expect to be working with me on some small, addictive, creative but ambitious, fun games, the themes of which may vary. I will need you to be able to make 3d models in 3dsmax. Texturing and bone rigging for animation will also be required, but I'm not half bad with 3dsmax myself and I can happily help with the technical aspects of getting models into the 3d game engine (I've been using 3dsmax since it was called 3D Studio for DOS, so I'm not short on experience). We'll be working in a relaxed but focused way. I'm really easy to get along with, I'm easy going, and I have a healthy interest in various types of art anyway so we already have something in common.

I dont intend to be making money because that's pretty tough with gamers expectations today, but I'm not a con man. If something we create together is good enough then obviously everything is split 50/50.

I have a website we can use, I have very flexible tools ready for you to install and start creating with, I have a state of the art game engine ready. All you have to do is convince me that you really want to make a game.

Please contact me if you're interested, my email is thegilb@hotmail.com. Please fill out the form below when contacting me. Thank you, and here's hoping I find the right person on here!

Ok so the bidding starts at 1 sphere. Any advances on 1 sphere? That's one single sphere. Do I see a geosphere anywhere?

I'm not sure what to tell you TBH. The best place to start is the beginning - go to your local book store and get a decent book on beginning game development. Oh and 1 word of advise - if at first you dont succeed, try and try again!

Hi, I'm also interested, if it's not too late... I am a big rpg and mmorpg fan, and I'd really enjoy doing one. I've made several games, here's one of them: http://dreamquest.coherentdigital.com And still shaping models, composing music http://www.zionart.net/en/music.html and writting game stories...
I also have a zip with some of my work: www.zionart.net/orion/samples.zip
please, let me know if you're interested: vampiressae@yahoo.com
Thanks in advance
