Dreamscape 2.5 shadows

Hi, I am having trouble getting the dreamscape sun to cast shadows of a boat I am rendering onto the dreamscape water surface.

As far as a I know all shadow settings are on and the ds sun will cast shadows onto a simple plane but not the ds water surface!

Using max lights will make shadows but destroys the realism of the water surface.

Any help much appreciated!
