Rep Power: 0 ![]() | dogtag help hey guys, im a complete noob at 3ds max. im making my first model but im a little stuck. i've got this as a dogtag so far: ![]() but i dunno how to put a hole where the circle is so I can put a chain through it. can anyone help? ![]() |

| Forum Moderator ![]() | well theres a couple ways. i think the easiest way would be just to make a simple cylinder and use boolean where you want the chain hole to be

| Forum Moderator ![]() | yeah sure. just create a cylinder first (with like 20 - 40 sides) and then go to create, compound objects, boolean, and select the cylinder and place it over where you want the whole to be. then just apply boolean to the cylinder and dogtag and there ya go! :D

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Maybe you should start your project using 2d ,splines rectangle etc... In brief make a rectangle uncheck new shape make a circle place it where you want your hole to be (align and convert to editable spline)and then select you vertices fillet as you wish and extrude .That is just to give you an idea how to do it fast and with a minimum of polygones.
