Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hello everyone, I am an aspiring 3D artist. My dream is to model and animate for a company such as Pixar, or Dreamworks, but I am having a hard time finding a college that can help me get there. I am looking for information on any and all colleges that offer degrees in the field of 3D modeling and animation; along with any tips on what to look for when considering which college to attend. I have found some information on some schools in Florida and California, but I am not sure what their requirements for enrollment are (i.e. an art degree from a previous 4 year college). So any information on colleges that offer 3D modeling and animation degrees would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to include the college you attend(ed) or which colleges companies like Pixar would hire from. Thanks in advance for any help! |

For 'artists' like you, I think they want you to be creative / imaginative instead of 'student from good college' or 'good student'. Anyway, good luck and I hope you will succeed in your desired field :) Thanks. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thank you for your input and good wishes, I agree, in the end all that matters is your ability as an artist. But some colleges can help develope techniques for modeling and animating better than others, and that is the information that I am after. Thank you =) ![]() |
