Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: Book How soon do you need it? I know that there are a lot of 3ds Max 6 books on the way... Including mine! :) I teach Animation at a school in Pittsburgh and am writing a two series book on Max 6, the first relating to modeling, and the second pertaining to animation. The first one isn't due out until sometime this summer. I don't know what skill level you were looking for. My books will be an introduction to 3ds so it will be pretty basic, although some of the tutorials will be fairly involved. You could use a Max 5 book for the time being. You just won't be able to mess with a lot of the updates like mentalRay, RealFlow, and the enhanced Reactor capabilities. Everything else though should be pretty much the same. Hope this helps! ~CartoonFron PS::: Oh by the way, info on that upcoming book: Exploring 3D Modeling with 3D Studio Max 6 by: Steven Till & Jim O'Connell Publisher: Thompson - Delmar Learning |
