Using only a mouse to draw with, will tend to keep your skills at bay, regardless of how good you are at it, the traditional way ... When you first begin to paint/draw with your digitizer, do simple stuff, and add layers and volumes upon it. It does not matter how good the result is when starting, you´ll eventually get a better feel with your digitzer, just as if you where painting with a brush or drawing with a pencil/pen! Another way might be to take an already made drawing or painting and "remake" the image from, just as the Classics in the past did! Again it does not matter how good you are, but this way will give you a valuable trade, namely how-to "see" the original thrue your own eyes, and alot of thoughts may be spend during the process, as how did the artist accomplish this or that. Visiting any of the numerous 2D tutorial sites is a clear option for you too. |
