A question on "Create the wheels for the

I am learning from Alex's "Create the wheels for the
car" tutorial step by step now on

But somwhow, I am not sure about your step 2, wihc is:

2. Create a profile cure using EP Curve Tool and place
it accordingly to the image.

I am not sure how to create a profile cure(?)....Is it
all on the side view in this step? And which image
should I place it accordingly? Sorry for my lame
question.
