Modeling a Car Mesh

Hello,
i got a big problem, i can't understand how all of you creating so nice cars using a Splines and Views (Front/Top/Left) how u making 3d spline cage?
I read around 10 tutorials and can't understand this....
If any Vide Tutorials aviable for download?
or someone can explaine a basic principe how do do this cage?

Will be GREAT...
