Maya Skin Binds

Hey!

How's trix? I have a question about some error messages I get when I apply the one-button Maya 'Bind Skin' (Smooth Bind). The bind looks and acts functional but I get these messages in the script editor and it makes me suspicious something's not right. These are the errors:

// Error: Connection not made: 'bindPose1.world' -> 'bindPose1.parents[920]'. Destination attribute must be writable. // (or)

// Error: Connection not made: 'bindPose1.world' -> 'bindPose1.parents[919]'. Destination attribute must be writable. // (or)

// Error: Connection not made: 'L_pnkyAJNT.message' -> 'bindPose1.parents[918]'. Destination attribute must be writable. // (or)

// Error: No object matches name: skinCluster //

Also, when I apply the one-button 'Detach Skin', the detach appears to work but I get the following error messages:

// Error: Item selected is not a deformer. // (or)

// Error: No object matches name: skinCluster //

The model in question is a character built in Maya 4.0 with a skeletal rig (IK's, constraints, expressions). The skin geometry is all one piece and selected as one piece before binding (or unbinding) to the root of the skeleton.

As I say, the binds and detaches appear to work but when I examine the script editor I see these errors and wonder if something needs to be cleaned up.

Any comment? Thanks!
