Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Help with car modeling in MAX 7 I'm new to car modeling and have many questions. I am using max 7 and I correctly place my blueprints in the correct viewports I think, but when I go to model ALWAYS one blueprint or two are off no matter how I move it around. For example, I am trying the Mazda RX-8 tutorial found on 3dm3 and all viewports work together except the fron and back viewports. If I model with the sides and the fron and back viewports then the top viewport is off. Any suggestions? This is really ruining my chances for a future in 3d design haha. |

Rep Power: 8 ![]() | You need to match the blueprints together in photoshop or such, so the car is the same width height and length on all views, then cut the views out and put them on planes like here http://www.3dm3.com/tutorials/car3/ . Its a long process but the more you spend on it the easier it will be to model and the better the results will be  |

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Ok I just can't seem to get ANY blueprint the correct size! Why can't they just come in the correct size. I feel like a total n00b and failure right now all I want to do is be able to model a single car. If someone is so kind can they scale this image for me to work off from? as well as assist me with how to make them the right size. It is just so frusturating because no blueprint I have ever come across worked for me when I thought I was good to go, There are no cg classes where I live and nobody to ask for help as nobody like to do these things were I live and it sucks haha. ![]() |

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | There are no perfect blueprints in the internet. Most of all are wrong. So dont think about this. Use a lot of photos while modelling. Sorry for my English. |

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | As I can see this site is near dead or lacks in responce since my topic is still on top. Anyways. . . this is really frusturating for me as I can almost swear i am doing everything right even when I correctly resive my images so that the height of the front (side) view is the height of the right view and left view (Front and Back) and the width of the front view (side) is the width of the top view. I am modeling the lamborghini diablo using this blueprint below. If I gave some one the max file of my blueprint set up and images can some one please clearly enlighten me? http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...e45/diablo.jpg |

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Simply the proportions of the blueprint may be incorrect. For example, on the top view doors may be little longer than on the side view itc.... If you want, I can cut this blueprint for you. Just say me length, width and heigth of the car in cm or in mm. Last edited by Kazus; 02-11-2006 at 03:47 PM.. |
