lack of polygon (make sure all your polygons are quad, not triangle) or maybe there are some vertices haven't weld. For the 'problem' on modelling, you must check on all the viewports for the vertices/faces you have added. Usually, after you added vertices/faces from the side viewi just need one time to see the thing going from the beginning to the end and i think i could do it again on some other blueprint with no problem
