enzo ferrari started ferrari.. he actually started working for alfa romeo and made cars for them

he started making ferrari race cars in 1940, the first one was the tipo 815 ( this was the first ferrari built) it was strictly a race car

the first ferrari street legal car was the 125 s it was in 1947
