| 3DSM newb | Yugo 45 Koral (car) Hey guys, I took a break from my "Hover MLRS" project and decided to give car-modelling a try. I started on a few occassions, but never got past the hood. I was just lost in all the edges, viewports, etc... Anyway, my goal is to model a badass Nissan 350Z... someday. For starters, I've chosen a car that has his place in my heart and is one of the worst cars in the history of mechanics (new generation even got that award in the States hah). It's my first car, and it's far from perfect. The mesh is a mess, it looks more like some sort of an organic amoeba than an engineered car. All critics are more than welcome, for I really want to learn this one - one of my biggest challenges up until now. Here is the alpha version, around 3-4h work (forgot really). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My next steps would be to try to... align the mesh more or less (loads of work) and get the subdivision straight. Sorry, not the most exotic car ^^! PS: fixed the bug at the rear window - it required some vertex-welding. Last edited by Incognito; 01-07-2011 at 05:43 PM.. |
