Post WIP: weasel-dragon hybrid

I'm modeling this character as a base to finish in Mudbox. It'll be my first attempt at Mudbox, I never modeled anything there. Please advice, especially the following:

I left the eyes unmodeled, and hope to model them in Mudbox. Do the edge loops look correct? Are there enough? Is it possible to start with better topology?

Here's the UVs of this character. The body is an (almost) perfect rectangle, because I've been told it's a good shape for fixing up the texture in Photoshop. But this is my first UV map ever, so any UV-specific suggestions, please? Was it worth the time to map it into rectangle? I never painted textures before.

Any glaring mistakes in the anatomy or flow that I should correct before going to Mudbox?

Thank you for looking.

Watch out for that mouth and muzzle region. With the way the edge loops flow right now, you'll get some odd deformations at the dragons cheek.
