Do you like the opened window?

Are the three's shadows interesting?

C&C always welcome

I think there is to much Depth of field, don't you?
I'll make another render with half DOF like the forst image of this post ;)

12 Hours ? Impossible, I usually spend 12 hours rendering a 15000 frames (animation) on 1024 * 768 . Dunno .... what sistem do you have?

hmm...12 hours?are you using any renderer?
i prefer the second image..but on the modelling side,i guess you should do more...(not just clone objects). make use of the empty space.
i agree with Xpilot..done an animation much longer than that time....

*hope this helps ;)

i like the image, but the space is a bit strange. objects at the back is a bit too blur at such a distance. i have never seen any igo room, i feel the room is too spacious for fewer table (do u call it table), can add more table and c what's the result

Well, in such a room, the tables are used depending of the tournament, if they need 4 tables, they put 4 tables in the center, if it's a main practice then it'll go up to more and more.

The few tables they are, the more important is the tournament :buttrockx

And : Yes it's called a Go Table or Goban in japanese...

Well... I'm on a AMD 1.4Ghz. 1Gb. Ram ...

The scene is 165963 polygons with 5 omni lights [ Far Away ] casting light traced shadows, and, well, the DOF takes 12 renders so it's about a 1hour render X12 for the DOF lol !

And yes I'm a n00b so I don't know how to make good lightning without using tons of omni lights lol !

Oh, about space, don't forget that there is 2 players sitting next to each table...

hi 3DL, about lighting, i came across a very good tutorial by Princess Sin-D -
"Lighting with standard 3ds max lights" (edited by PiLe) at 3dkingdom.org. i think the same theory apply 2 all other 3d s/w 2.

I think area shadows could be better: the shadows far away from the windows shouldn't be that sharp, don't you think so?

I like the render. I agree with Ander about the shadows. If they blur the further away they get from the windows it would add a little more realism. Are you planning to redo the lighting or just attempt to improve on the exiting omnis?

WoW ! You where right ! It rocks with the area shadows...

But now, a question : How can I modify the shadow's blurring quality? Now the shadows are blurred but the blur is quite low resolution

HELP PLZ !
