Space station

Hi all, I've been gone for a while, school and stuff... After I'd tried several models to practice some modeling, I came on this model.

It isn't finished by far although I certain to keep the middle piece like it is right now.
On the "sticks" around the model are more tube-like sections planned.

The scene covers 32 omni's right now.. all thing is rendered by the default scanline renderer of max...

Note: the original was 2500x1850 but I had to minimize the filesize so not all reflectiondetails are visible....

Please leave some C&C's

thank you... I've tried some test with more tube-like sections today, but I think I will fill the ends with spheres. As far as I've tested that, it gives the model a more finished look.

This is the final version of the space station. I have to make some sort of an entrance somewhere, but I'll figure that out later. It is animation-ready right now.

I am actually rendering a huge-render with a resolution of 2500x1875. I minimized the amount of lights to 18 in stead of 36.
In stead of a higher amount of lights, I raised the strenght of each light to twice it's original.

Somewhere tonight I'm trying to render a monster render with a small land-space-craft I created yesterday. Just to figure out the scale. Rendering however takes a very long time.

I've been busy for a while. I've experimented with a few designs for a ship that was good and realistic enough to enter the Big Ship I called MA9429.

The small aircraft on this pic is the first finished design in a line of many I want to design and build. On the background you can see the interior of a part of one of the ships rings.

The render is taken from a set I've built and later imported into the scene with the MA9429. The inside-set is for close-up renders to spare time. There's a remarkable difference between rendering 28 lights and 10.

Aloha people...

Once again I post a little extra. I've experimented a lot lately with some animations, but it took more of my time then I was hoping for. The MA9429 (big mothership) is totally animation ready including the cargo/landing doors on one side.

The render beneath is pic of the inside of the mothership with a small landed aircraft on one of the pads. The materials are as good as ready. I tried to create realistic reflective materials for the small ship called asone. I think it worked out good. The place where the biped is standing is the place where I have to make doors.. but that is for later.
