School Project wip

this is a a school project, its going to be an animation with a robot shooting targets matrix style. I want the camera to come through a small corridor (which isent in this image) and go up around the ball till it gets to the mechanical arm (which will be holding the robot) the lights flicker on while this is happening. then the robot gets thrown into the sphere holding 2 mp5 sub machine guns. and shoots targets that appear in the sphere. the last one he miss's and the bullet ricochets back and hits him then they lights go out.

i have everything but the environment done. heres what i have so far. im still working on the textures. of the room. and i might mess with the lights more when im done texturing.

im using 3ds max 2009 and scanline for test renders and mental ray for final one ( saves me time)

from the basic story you have given. i'm sure this is gonna be pretty cool.

on another note. when were you no longer able to post in the WIP forums? was it after you were given moderator permissions? that's when it happened to me. i think it may be an error in the permissions settings for the user groups. atleast is seems that way. i've seen it happen in phpbb forums but am not used to vBulletin forums.

but only like a week or 2 ago it wouldn't let me post in the wip forum but i used to be able to even though i was a moderator. it will only let me post new threads in the character wip forum because that's what i specifically asked stryker to fix but i should of asked him to fix it for the whole thing lol

heres a small update. i put some textures on the fans and fixed a couple problems on the wall texture but there is still a couple of things i want to do.

looks great. for a dark scene your lighting is good. i can see a lot of detail still. good work.

Nice. when you pass the exams? I wish you pass the exams very good. :) It would be interesting to look on another images in your school. :) But i think your works the best. Good luck!

here's another small update, i haven't been working on it in a week or so but i need to get it done before the break is over lol. well here is the modeled hall way where the animation starts off. i got everything modeled and im still working on the lights as im sure u can tell lol and i need to texture it but that stuff want take to long. but this hallways is supposed to be pretty empty so that's y there's not much in it.
