Roman Hallway

Hey guys Im finally back! Anyways, heres a new scene that Im currently working on in 3dsmax. This was rendered with Finalrender. My friend Chris89 made the render settings for me, so I thank him for that. I did everything else.

Thanks! And C&C appreciated! :D

:) still nothing is obvious how it will gonna be. but if you you want to make a perfect piece, the tiling is obvious in scene, maby use some noise and mixes to hide it. nice start

i guess it took some time for u to render this, from my opinion..the lighting is good but need some improvement at the model..maybe add more segments. texture..try to use other texture rather than the normal max texture map....
*the perspective camera view is nice....but try to make it more deeper(further)
*keep it up...nice work Necksmasher :)

hi, Necksmasher

nice work. you are in right direction, but, one thing did you want to make it look like a roman corrdior? i dont think it has hat roman touch into it. it's my opinion, may be wrong. but, make it more detail.

good work,

Hey Necksmasher, nice hallway, I like it, looks very cool. I do think that the texture could do with a bit of work. Other than that it is a good job nonetheless. :):)

Thanks for all the nice comments guys! I really appreciate all the feedback! And to answer your questions:

Yes, I am going to add some more details and objects to the scene, I really just started working on it. Im trying to fix the textures, but I dont know where any really good ones are that would be somewhat similar to the one I have now and that is Hi-Res (because I mainly only use hi-res textures.) So if you could help me out to where I could use some free textures that would fit this type of object, please tell me! :D Also, I am thinking about making it a blend material, or maybe a material that doesnt show the same thing over and over and over...well I really appreciate all the great ideas! Thanks guys! More updates will be coming up soon! (What type of objects would look cool with this scene? And should I change the lighting or is it good? Thanks!) :D

Hi necksmasher, nice render, i agree with pradipta it has a more contemporary look than a romanic. i think that it would be cool if you add some "ornamental patterns" (i don't know the real name but i hope you know what i mean) and an erosionated look it would improve a lot your scene. :D

BTW this is the best free hi-res texture resource i've found. :coolp:
