Rep Power: 8  | Robot 1002 hi, this is my first try to model something in Maya. i'm a 3D max user, i'm notgiving up 3D max, ok. Curious about what people say about maya, "it is hard to learn maya". so, i decide to learn it by doing something, instead of just practising. to be honest, i'd trouble doing some simple task like duplicate object ( which in 3D max is mirror object ). it seems that their method are totally different ( should i say so ? ) . anyhow i manage to squeeze something out. not forget 2 tell u that i attended a basic class in maya. this help me to understand some of the interface like hypershade, attribute editor. here the images: ( this is not final image )   more coming up. this will take some time, sorry about this. :P i think i'll have problem on "how 2 do certain thing in maya" on n off, so hoping u people would help me, hehehe. thanks. Rep Power: 8 | after creating initial robot object, i start to think about what environment to be used for the scene. a weird idea came to my mind. how about - a robot sitting on a toilet bowl ! in the toilet . the robot seem to be troubled by something. what lighting to be used... mmmm, that troubles me. what do u think about this? |

Rep Power: 8 | The Story ok, today, i'll explain why the robot was doing there. After extinction of all living organism on planet earth, earth has become nothing more than an archeology site. A more advanced evolved organism which is close family member of homo sapien has sent their archeologist ( robots ) back to earth to study the history of mankind. Robot 1002 is one of them. He has come to a site (alone) where a museum is discovered 500 meters deep in the ground. A tunnel is built to access the museum ( they are capable of constructing structure as necessary ). Most of the items in the musuem is still preserved in good condition: human skull, clothes, treasure and etc. An item has attracted his attention: toilet bowl. Unfortunately, the he can't understand the description of the item. It reads - "A neccessity of daily life to serve as channel of human's intestine waste to a temporary storage. How to use: Sit on it and wait" In order to find out how it operates, the robot decide to sit on it and wait. And the result is ...! |

Rep Power: 8 | hi all. an update - the interior of muzium, nothing much left actually, just stones and sand n the toilet!. the opening was the result of tunnel drilling done by the robot :P c & c r welcome, cos i really lack idea in how interior r suppose 2 look like. what i plan 2 do is compose the interior in painting form then combine with 3d robot+object(s). i think this would be very interesting.  |

Rep Power: 8 | latest update: hi all. this time, i add more rocks to the muzium interior n do some color correction (in photoshop) by adding more blue and cyan. honestly, this is the first time i do painting in photoshop, cos i c many artists doing this ( not 2 mention they created awesome works, which i would take year 2 achieve ), enjoy it alot. so , what do u think bout this interior 4 my robot scene? c&c welcome. so far i dun receive much c& c, hope 2 get more. Rep Power: 8 | a bit update this is the vessel that archeobot used to "penetrate" earth crust. unlike drilling machine, it penetrate rather than drill through the crust. hope u like it
