Arrow need feedback for a new project

hi all, im making a picture for a friend for her 18th birthday, and i know what im going to make but i want it to be absolutely perfect so i wanna ask the awesome people here for any feed back on the work if done thus far..
i'll give you details on what im doing and how thanks guys :)

software:
3ds max 9 sp1 32 bit
rendered in vray 1.50 rc5
heavy compositing in photoshop cs2
detailed models in zbrush 3.1
fume fx
dream scape

ok what iv got planned is a scene in the outdoors with the back ground a ruined house with vines growing all over the broken walls, and a good setting for an early morning sunlight and a really detailed sky (done with dreamscape)
for the foreground im making a vampire goth chick sitting on the ground and looking up, with some magical aura eliminating from her (probably done with fume fx)

if people need anything else tell me =)

cool lighting........
it may be the land textures or camera angle makes the textures look stretched.....
keep up the good work......

good work!
as karan says, try to do something with the groundplane texture. Maybe use displacement for it!

thanks for the input, im trying to fix the ground now, up until now i had some planks of wood hiding the texture stretching
iv been trying to get the vray material displacement to work, is there something about the vray proxies that won't allow displacement to render?
because in order to get it to render even test pics i had to make everything a proxy
thanks

i still use mental ray. If you wanna render displacement with MR you have to turn it on in the render properties window thingie... :p I'm not so familiar with Vray, but maybe you have to do it too.
Good luck! If I found something out about displacement in vray I let ya know!

ah, that looks much better allready! If you could add some little debrish or leaves to break the length a bit, that would be great! Keep us updated!

that was meant to be a concrete path of sorts, but because of the angle the camera's on, i don't think it's really necessary, however when i finally put in the main figure it will cover most, if not all imperfections in the back ground, also the slight depth of field that will be added will hide anything as well.

hmm, and just going by these render times for the test pics makes me wonder if my computer will be able to a handle rendering the final pic at all
this pic here took 2 hours 567x709 resolution, i was adjusting the lighting to make it fit more with the sky's color

i think you shouldnt put her very close to the camera because you are closing all of the buildings and you can see the details than of the model and if its not very high rez and the texture isnt very good so no point to put her very close to the camera.
