Rep Power: 0 ![]() | MotoRAZR I love the motoRAZR and how slim it is so I decided to make an even slimmer version of it. I started working on it yesterday and I am almost close to done. The mesh might be a little messy, but I think its ok since this is an inanimate object so it wont do it any harm even whe it comes to animation. The keypad is my biggest problem though, as you know the moto razr has an engraved, curved keypad and to model that (to me) was nearly impossible. I tried applying a displacement map but with no luck at all, I tried NURBS modeling but my knowledge in it way below basic. Finally, I just applied a bump map to it and it seems to be working fine, only problem is that I dont think I will be able to alter the color of the engravings as I want to simulate its lit state, so does anyone have an idea to work this out? I also seem to have a problem with showing some detail (namely the seams) because the lighting washes them out, so if anyone would help me with it that would be great. Here are some of the references I am looking at, I am not using any orthogonals btw: ![]() ![]() ![]() Renders: ![]() ![]() Wires: ![]() |
