La Casa en Espana

"The House in Spain"

this is my latest scene in 3dsmax that I started the other night. It is of a street in Spain. I was inspired after looking at some of Juan Siquier's 3D work. I started on some of the basic modeling and texturing, and I need some guidance and help on some ideas of what to add. Comments and crits are needed please. Thanks!

Hey Necksmasher, Really nicely done... Love the house and the little environiment.
How did you do the sand? (ground :D)
for the rest are you gonna add some more houses, or building? If so I will keep a eye on this one.

Keep it up the great work..

Greetz, Novak

Thanks Novak! I will add some more houses and buildings and stuff. I know it's really simple right now. Here's an update render. I added some textures to the wood, another wire, and a roof on the building on the left. Comments please! :D

Talking

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Novak: I will post a wireframe and unshaded render of the scene ASAP.

Well here's a major update! I changed the street (which I think looks alot better than before.) and I added a new building on the right, along with some more wires and a trashcan (and a ladder) if you notice them. I will work on the balcony for the new building and some more elements (maybe like a cat or something that is sitting on the roof.) Comments please :D

Here's an updated render of the scene. If you notice, I added a couple gutters on the ground for the water pipes. It's hard to see, but there is also one for the building on the right (with the balcony). Any bugs or something that you notice? Please let me know. Comments please. Thanks! :D

Here's yet another render update :D I added a little cat digging in one of the trashcans (which is now tipped over). And I also made the trashcan on the left have dents and s tuff to make it look a little more realistic. There is also a vase near the tree with some flowers in it. I also added a sign that says "Spanish Pub" on it near the building on the right. And it also has a metal pipe holding it up if you notice.

I know it's a little dark in some areas. Should any of the lighting be changed? I was wondering what else could be added to the scene. Comments and ideas please! Thanks :D

Ok here's another update render. The new bike I just made is on the left side of the building in the middle. The lighting makes the bike look kinda bad in my opinion. I will do a close up render of the bike if anyone wants to see it. I also added some gutters near the roofs of the main buildings for the water pipes. (They are the long curved models on the top side of the buildings.) Comments please! :D

No comments? Hehe, I think we need the 3DM forums to be alot more active. Why doesn't anyone post in these forums anymore? Ok here is the next update of the scene. I changed the roof on the flat building near the left. And I also added a lamp post (does it look too big?) and another building to the scene on the left. Does it look ok? I will add some more buildings on the right part of the scene of course. Right now I'm working on the birds (probably pigeons) that will be sitting on a couple of the wires. Comments and critiques please! Thanks :D

Ok here's another update. I chamfered the edges of the buildings to make their walls look smoother and more realistic. I scaled the bike down to 90% of its original size, and I also scaled down the lamp post to 80% of its original size. I added a chair next to the door of the main house, and I also added a water pipe to the flat house. I really like it so far. What do you guys think? Comments please! :D

Here's the next update. I added a couple porch lights to the front of the main house, and I finally added another building on the right part of the street to fill up that area. I might add a building behind the main building area. Maybe like a church or something. Please give me some input on the scene so far. Thanks!
