| Registered User | Back To The Future I'm going to be starting a project soon thats going to take me ages, but I think it'll all be worth it in the end. I plan to re-create the scene from Back To The Future with the car at the start, zooming off to the future, getting chased by that voltswagon car, and then into the past with hitting the barn. I plan to create this all in 3D using 3D studio max :D I have already started from the DVD drawing the set designs of the Twin Pines Mall. I think its a great scene, and if I can do it right, it could be a whole lot of fun to see :D

| Registered User | Thanls :D I wasn't expecting a response so quick :p I've told a mate about it, and all he had to say was "Whats the point?" I'm sure being 3D people, you get the point :) Its just a project that will be fun to work with/ have a learning experience/ and should look great after. Heck, theres even blueprints on the DVD of the delorian specced out.

| Registered User | Yeah, I know. Theres some people also saying "you wouldn't be able to do that"... I know that with time and patience, I'll be able to create some really good looking scenes. The only really hard point of the project will be the modelling of the car. I haven't created a successful car yet, but I've learnt ALOT about modelling recently, and have been doing it wrong for a while.

| Registered User | Thanks :) This is one of the things I sketched last night. The other sketches were too basic really, and were rushed to get an idea: ![]() This is one of the simplist models on the set. Plus, the Twin Pine mall is a real place. I thought i may be, though its changed a bit: http://www.webalice.it/giulio.russi/bttf/twin_eng.htm Has anyone been there? Close to that? Some one with more reference pics would be amazing! :D I looked on the DVD on the PC DVD player, and I just wish the blueprints were easier to see. I thought it was just teh TV making them unreadable, but its not :( *EDIT* I've just ordered the blueprint for the original Delorian. I just then need the specs for the movie bits that were added. It cost me a total of $0.60 or aobut 30p over here :D Should be all the sides, to make it easier to model. I have also found reference images of close ups, etc from sites around :)

| i hve seen the picture to a lot of times but the hardest thing to do is not to model the car but to make a realistic scene becouse you have bleuprints from the car but the motions of the car ..... i dontt know i dont think it would be easy but i would LOVE to help working on a cool project like that |
