Sorry for your loss Necksmasher, it's rough man I know what you are going through and it is very nice of you to dedicate such a great scene in her honor.

I wish I could help with the lighting problem but I am a noob and never used 1.09, just 1.47 (I think) I see what you mean, that light is just washing everything out.

Thanks DK_Studios, I appreciate your support. Oh well I found out the issue, it was because I had the VRay Environment skylight too blue. It is brighter now (more like a cool white). Here is an update. I added some cloth on the front wires near the left house. I also added some window blinds for the tall apartment building windows in the back...but they look kinda weird. Should they be tiled vertically? Comments please! :D

Thanks Stryker! Ok here's a new render. I added another building to the scene (an office building on the left). I also changed the camera angle and a couple other things. Comments please! :D

Just to let you guys know...I DO plan on finishing this scene, but I will have to work on it sometime later. I'm definitely going to finish my "old alley" scene at the moment, so I will hold off on this until I get my new computer :D

I fixed the render settings so the render looks at least half-way decent, I added some new buildings for the background (yes, they are all 3D) and I added a new sky (altered in Photoshop for colorization). I'm trying to work on my composition skills, and I tried to make some of the buildings blend into the sky. C&C appreciated :D

Nice work dud realy cool. can you plz tell me more about how to use mask on the texture?
And every thing looks nice the onley thing i can see is the ball. it's to round. and the lstreet looks kinda poor so why dont you try make the ball a littel more fussy. (less air inn it)

and the shop with the stripes is just great it is so diferent then the other houses so it's kinda flashes things up ;)

and ye how do you gett the material to fitt the phone (sticks) so good? or did you use uvw on them?
