but can you maybe try to do a more detailed and slower animation?
i know its difficult but it'll be great :)

Thanks for the feedback! :)

This is actually an initial animation i did before i began detailing the textures further and before i added a few more things like the windshield wipers etc...

I'll post the new animation as soon as i can put time aside from work and other stuff.

LOL can't believe how hard it is to google for an original transformation sound from the show that's clear enough, every clip that i find got that "bad VHS static" reverberation thing!

I'm thinking of just ripping it from the movie's dvd, when i get to the soundtrack phase...

dont know did you tryed it already but still... here you go :transformation sound :)
i downloaded it and it has a very short transformation sound (good quality though) maybe you can add some effects on your own in Audacity

Actually i own the original movie from 1984, that's where i wanted to rip it from, since it's supposed to be the original Optimus and not Bay's one... thou i like the new design too :)

I guess that's the direction i initially went to when i did the animation, since in the show the transformation was usually very quick...

yeah... i watched the new Transformers
transformation is incredible and breath-taking
the best part is when Stormscream (aeroplane) transforms pulling out he's hand first,grabbing the bridge and then - mid-air transform...
sick ;)

it's been a riot, let me tell ya!
I've been able to work more on OP lately and finally finishing up the trailer too!
I'm rendering a new batch of frames, over 2000, since i'm planning to have the animation run along with a fair bit of the "Convoy" song by C.W. McCall (1975), which sounds simply perfect for a big rig riding in a desert highway.

I'm planning to have it transform too at some point but at first i'd like to do some glamour shots :)

Stand by or check back periodically the same link i gave in my first post! :-D
