| Digital Artist | I hope everyone is having a happy Christmas with family and friends too! Quote:
Need_Help already answered half the question. Only that despite it took me some time to do these textures, I don't really used any type of DOF, Z-deph or UV, I wanted a fast result. See the image. I did the following: 1) For the body of the snowman I just used a white material with a little noise. 2) The floor is a NURBS Plane with an image of texture applied to it, as well as a Bumpmap exactly with the same image. 3) To give the impression of frozen I used the photoshop (my trick up in sleeve ). I made a duplicate of the primary layer, I turned it white and I was using the rubber in areas where I thought it shouldn't have ice.4) Here is nothing special too. I just duplicated and resized a bit of the ice floor in photoshop. So that's it. The next time I intend to post the work process in the appropriate forum before to post here, so we have more entries for the voting maybe. But I hope that all have understood. Thanks you all. Take care... CelsoJunior

| Member | I'm glad I have guessed the making process of the snow material correctly :) Your 'step 3' is really 'dirty', but the result is quite good (I really like it because it added more realism to the scene, and I thought that you used 'bloom' effect to achieve this). Thanks for the 'making of'. |
