I hope everyone is having a happy Christmas with family and friends too!

CelsoJunior i have a question?? How did you create your snow material!!!
well, here we go ...

Need_Help already answered half the question. Only that despite it took me some time to do these textures, I don't really used any type of DOF, Z-deph or UV, I wanted a fast result. See the image. I did the following:

1) For the body of the snowman I just used a white material with a little noise.

2) The floor is a NURBS Plane with an image of texture applied to it, as well as a Bumpmap exactly with the same image.

3) To give the impression of frozen I used the photoshop (my trick up in sleeve ). I made a duplicate of the primary layer, I turned it white and I was using the rubber in areas where I thought it shouldn't have ice.

4) Here is nothing special too. I just duplicated and resized a bit of the ice floor in photoshop.

So that's it. The next time I intend to post the work process in the appropriate forum before to post here, so we have more entries for the voting maybe. But I hope that all have understood.

Thanks you all. Take care...
CelsoJunior

I'm glad I have guessed the making process of the snow material correctly :) Your 'step 3' is really 'dirty', but the result is quite good (I really like it because it added more realism to the scene, and I thought that you used 'bloom' effect to achieve this).

Thanks for the 'making of'.

The trees are just background image. The scene is just the snowmen and the 'terrain', while everything else are just 2D images (photos).

Thanks.
