Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Mike you finally did it! The Ultimate Skill Challenge is up and running. ![]() Congratulations to all who helped in the process. I like the Theme here. This will be a nice exercise in texturing and modeling.( I am tired of seeing perfectly shiny and clean 3d work anyway )Cool place you got here, its even got that new car smell....sniff...ahhh |

| Supreme Digital Artist | Yeah, me to. So we got this thing running and we will see how many people will participate in this kind of contest. I agree with all of you that this is going to be very creative competition, and here people can learn from others. That is if person revile his 'secret' in lets say, putting textures together or just making models ![]() ...But not only this, there is also no time limit on how much time you can 'waste' on project and the competition is repeatable, so no time limit at all. Only problem that might occur is not to have enough entrys so we just extend it to another week... BTW... Let me remind you all how did you used to make models before: You would start to model... And every 5 minutes you would watch the clock how much time you have left to make the model, and if you were honest person you wouldn't post finished work if it was over the time limit... But here is different. You can post models when ever and what ever you come up with on the subject. That is why Mike and me are trying to make the subjects as wide as we can for any ideas. One last thing. The tree things that you will show in this competition are: 1. Wire - Exactly how many polys/faces you have used. 2. Clay - The rightness of that model for the subject. 3. Textured model - Your skill in managing textres. All tree things count. PS: Sorry for this long post... Cheers ![]() ![]() ![]()

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | also remember, the rules clearly state to give a name to your model. i made it that way so when voting time comes i'll have something to distinguish them by. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | thanks iamtravis316. i was hoping this would be ok. the way the water looked turned me on to this concept. i used the promaterials water in mentalray. i wish i was better at texturing, but i'll get there. we get alot of floods here so i see lots of this type of thing here. |
