New T.U.S.C. Competition

Theme: Abandoned Dwelling

Description: Any type of dwelling, shack, shanty, shed, or other object once lived in or used.


Start: Sunday, 30th November at 12:01 am GMT
1st Voting Session: Sunday, 14th December at 12:01 pm GMT*
2nd Voting Session: Sunday, 28st December at 12:01 pm GMT*

In order for a entry to count, it must have:

• Model Name
• Software(s) used
• Wireframe of the entry (no bigger than 800x600)
• Clay render of the entry (no bigger than 800x600)
• Final render of the entry (no bigger than 800x600)

You can use what software you want but must provide the above to qualify.

There are no time limitations for T.U.S.C. modeling. Voting will only be based on the dwelling. Scene for the dwelling is not required.

@Pete....well, many ov us had fun in makin sum models in the theme based unofficial challenge ov halloween....n wr lookin on fr sum kinda competition wid sum more fun as big....so, Mike n all decided to make it n official regular competition, bigger themes, longer times.... :)

oh, this will keep going til dead. kinda endless but not really.
every week we will vote for TUSC award, after every 4th voting we will vote for a masterpiece award.
when a new holiday comes by, we throw another theme in as another competition.

so ya keep making abandoned dwellings. i will. just like the halloween challenge we'll let it keep going as long as there are entries.

edit: if it get's to be too many competitions running i will ask for a helper moderator.

i started one this morning and should have it posted tonight.

keep in mind. any "once occupied" dwelling. houses, turtleshells, anthills, birdsnests, hell a cardboard box, anything you want can be entered as long as you can show in the modeling that its abandoned.

sounds intresting i like the theme. i read the rules and i saw it said "So Only 3D Entries Please" will that mean i cant implement photos as bacground or implement 3d in a real scene? everything need to be fully 3d. and is there alowed to do retuching in PS?

simple answer yes. if your using that software for backgrounds and textures, mapping, materials and so on then yes. as long as you can produce the requirements then whatever you choose to use. do you understand what i mean? is there a better way i can word this to avoid confusion?


edit: i changed it to say "You can use what software you want but must provide the above to qualify."
