I think we must change rules and only one model from each member will be approved for this challenge due to unlimited time of modeling. This competition run with multiply entries rules but later I think we will change it to single. So please try to model the best possible what you can in one entry.

Yeah... totally agree... not sure if the comment were in regard to my model but there are tons of work to get done for my model and thats why the early start on the models... still have tons of work in zbrush to finish up then I have texturing, uvw unwrapping, scene setup, render and final compositing. SO, for me 13 days is pushing it... ;)

Haven't had much time to work on the model... but Yorae... there are tutorials everywhere for zbrush... check VEOH.com they have a good collection, just search for Zbrush... also sorry about posting WIP pictures... didn't know there was a subforum for that... guys who posted models ... good work!

squid FTW

Modeling time: 4-6 h ( didnt do it in one day so cant tell exactly)
Texturing time: 1 min
Rendering time: 3 min
Software: Max 9.0 and Zbrush 3

it was supposed to be a giant squid witha an ancient city on his head :) but I delayed the modeling of city for too long :D

lowpoly squid was done in 3dmax using plane modeling: first did the silhouette of it and then shaped the rest of it ( at first i tried to make his head from sphere but it was too correct :D )
highpoly was done in zbrush with mouse.
chains were done using splines and path modifier.

i hope u like it its my second contest in 3dm3
