Maya , Shave and haircut, mental ray.
The mesh is about 17k polys with 4 hair systems.
No post work but some contrast enhancement in Photoshop and the compositing of the background image.
I had a great time working on this guy!

moving the catch light in the eyes just a bit to the left will make it stare at you instead of the innocent bunny that is somwhere in the right hand side of the shot. ;)

Love the colors also
